I'm It! And I'm Losing It!

Brittany from Unexpected Surprises AND Star from Star's Pink World tagged me to do this so I guess I better!

The rules are to go to the 8th photo folder you have (since I am at work I just counted facebook folders), pick the 8th picture from that folder, and then post it with the story behind it.

This was in 2008 right in front of Michael's parents house. I had recently changed my hair to blonde on top and brunette underneath. I used to have more money since we lived with his parents! :-)
As you can probably see, we are both sunburned! I think we were either just coming home or heading to an academy BBQ with his police academy buddies. We didn't have a digital camera at the time so this was taken with a regular disposable camera. I like it, though! Michael looks super cute!

I'm supposed to tag 8 more people to do this...

Lourie from CA Girl
Krystal from Krystal's Kitsch

Any anybody else that wants to join in! ( Jenna...?Wendy??) :-)

In other news...I'm currently trying to figure out a way to adopt these two cuties....

I got an email at work saying that a friend of a friend found these two running up into a highway and that they will be available for adoption on Friday!

And you know what? They are perfect for us! It's exactly what we were looking for. Two small dogs who could keep each other company if we are away from home.

They don't really bark or yelp. They are mellow, cuddly buddies. There's a fee that would cover fixing, shots, a microchip and a permit.

The problem? Our apartment doesn't allow dogs...UNLESS I have a valid doctors note. Since I don't qualify for physically needing a dog...I can most likely qualify for MENTALLY needing a companion dog. Loopholes are awesome.

I know it's crazy (no pun intended) but I am trying to get an appointment with a therapist so that he/she can see that I NEED a dog and therefore they will write me a note and all will be swell!

The soonest I can get an appointment is in June! And they said I need to be diagnosed with something in order for them to be willing to do that. Noooo problem. I know just what to say!

"My husband and I work opposite schedules, often leaving me home alone for half of the time. I get lonely and anxious and I can tell that I am losing it. I need a companion dog(s) to keep me sane! I even get these weird anxiety attacks sometimes...I think it would help ease that too."

What do you guys think?? Good idea? Downright stupid? I need advice!

My first question is how big are they going to get? They need room to run. Then I would say if you know your doctor well enough you could have him write you some kind of note about needing "companions" Your hubby is a cop! You need those little guys to keep you company. ;) Good luck.

I love my Dooney, but sometimes I wish I didn't own any pets! They make messes, they eat my stuff, they shed, they need attention... It's like you have a child! Although somethimes Dooney drives me insane, I can't picture myself without her!

Definitely try. You could even throw in, "My husband is a police officer and I am more aware than most people of what dangers are out there. I get so stressed and work myself up over the smallest noises, I really need some sort of comfort and protection for when he is away." You got this :) Let us know if you get them!!

Those are the cutest little dogs ever! Worth a shot, there are tons of proven benefits for the personality/mood of pet owners. You could even list a few of those for them :)
