St. Patty's Day Weekend

This weekend was definitely not crazy like many of yours were! I don't really care about St. Patrick's Day and I don't drink (us crazy Mormon's lol) so it was another low key weekend with friends and family.

On Friday we met up with some old friends, Kristen and Daniel, from out of town and played at the park with our kids.

Michael had to go to work so Emily and I just hung out in Orange County for the night with my parents. I tried some strange oriental food (I can't even remember what it was) that they brought home for dinner. But I tried something new and that's a big deal! I like to stick with what I know.

Saturday was basically a lounge around and then do some grocery shopping kind of day.

Sunday, I dressed Emily up in her pretty new greenish (okay, more like turquoise) dress and her shamrock hair clip and we headed to church.

After church we just hung out at home and relaxed! Emily never takes naps on Sunday due to the time our church is at but that usually means she will go to bed a little earlier at least. Sundays are hard! I don't know how I'm going to have another baby ever. I'm already worn out with just this one! Especially since Michael works so much. I'm very excited he has like a week and a half off this month so hopefully we get to go do some fun things as a family!

Fun Times and Happy St. Patty's Weekend!

Hey, ya'll! Just thought I would do a little update on what we've been up to. First of all, Em is as cute as ever...

We've also bee with family a lot in Orange County. Last weekend I went to a friends bachelorette party and we stayed over at Michaels parents house. We also went to church with them and then had dinner at my parents house. Emily loves getting so much attention and love from everybody! She will never have to wonder if she is special to anyone.

Michael and I braved going out to dinner with Emily...

I brought her diaper bag in with a bunch of things to entertain her. I call it my bag of tricks, haha. We ended up having to take turns eating while the other stood up next to the table and bounced Emily. Despite that, we enjoyed our "date", haha! I had chicken fajitas and Michael got a burger.
I've started counting the number of people who come up to us to goosh over Emily. That night we got 4 or 5 people. It's so fun to show off our beautiful, sweet baby girl. Everyone loves her!!

This weekend we will be busy (again, out in OC) helping Michaels brother and sister in law, Tyler and Sarah, move into their first apartment and then later that night is my friends wedding. I'm also dog sitting for my parents.

Have a great St. Patty's Day weekend!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We don't particularly celebrate this holiday, but I always try to collect festive holiday things for our apartment so that we will have things to put up every year. This year I got little window stickies and put them up. I also got...
This cute little blackboard. We have been putting our keys on it. I wrote ,"Top O' The Mornin' To Ya! xoxo" on it and we haven't changed it since. It's actually kind of a hassle because we don't have a great place to hang it. And I actually hate blackboards. I don't know why whiteboards aren't used more often. WAY cleaner. The only thing I really like about the holiday is that so many people are wearing the same color and it's entertaining to me!

Anyway! We are still waiting to hear back about the house! It's getting so frustrating just waiting, waiting, and more waiting. Every day I wake up thinking, "Maybe today we will find out we got the house!". But nope. Not yet! Michael thinks it will be next week. Or the next. Two months has never seemed so long!

We are really looking forward to our Santa Barbara trip next month. I've been working on my tan! And it's getting so warm here- I love it! The brief moments I get to be outside are treasured. I had to walk to the bank today for work and it was so warm. It made me happy just being outside. Without a sweater! In fact it was a little hot. But I won't complain! And I love seeing all the cute sundresses and sandals the girls are wearing now. I can't wait to get that dress I bought in the mail! I still need to get some sandals to match.

Well, have a great Wednesday and St. Patrick's Day!

xoxo,
Shelley

P.S- I got up again today at 4:30 am to go to the gym. I'm trying to make it a habit...but so far it's only been twice. Oh well, I'm proud of myself for going today!
