Something's In The Oven (Besides the Bun)!

After 7 nights in a row of Michael being at work (which means 14 hours a day or so) working his regular shift plus plenty of overtime last week, I've finally been able to spend some time with him!
Monday we spent the majority of the day cleaning the house and yard up. Then we decided to go out and do something fun together so we went to Chipotle and then saw the last Harry Potter movie. It was great! It's always nice to finally be able to enjoy each others company after a week like he had.

I'm 33 weeks along now. 33 is my favorite number! Baby girl is about 4 lbs. now and is still head down, which is great! My baby shower is Saturday. I'm so excited!

In other news, I've been trying to be better at cooking lately. I've been seriously slacking in that department and the other day I mentioned to Michael that maybe I would look at some of our cook books and make something. His reaction confirmed my suspicion that he wished I cooked more often. (As opposed to pretty much never...) I can't say I blame him! Technically, being a "housewife" is the only job I have!

It's gotten harder to clean the house (after cleaning for a long time on Monday, I got several Braxton Hicks contractions). I do try to keep up at least with the dishes and laundry...but I realized that cooking isn't exactly strenuous so I could at least do more of that! I went to work right away! I got out our cookbooks/recipes and made note of some things I would make soon. Then I made a list of groceries we would need.

This is what I have made so far....

Peanut Butter Cookies

Broccoli Cheese Casserole

Enchiladas

Banana Bread

I'm so proud of myself after I cook! Plus, it's been nice to have food around the house. I don't know why I hadn't done this more often before! Cooking is actually pretty fun and the end result is delicious food! I'm pretty sure Michael is a happy camper as well.

I want to cook soooooo bad. We're in that stage right now where we're trying to use up all our food before we move and are about to shut off kitchen use entirely so we can clean it. You look so good! Can't wait to see ya!

When I cook -- I enjoy it. It's just time consuming and I'm a bit of a klutz in the kitchen! Kudos to you for cracking open the cook books! :)

Those peanut butter cookies look yummy! Growing up, my Grandma would put Reese's in the middle.

You go girl! I love cooking but I get bored easily so I constantly am looking up new recipes on my All Recipes app :)

First of all, you look adorable!! Loving that sweet belly! I need to cook more, too. I get really into it for a week and then I stop. The part I really hate is grocery shopping, not cooking.
