The next morning, I tried again. This time I was pretty sure I was seeing double lines. Do you see it in the circular window? A horizontal one, yes, but if you look really closely you can see a very faint vertical line too.
See it?
I wasn't so sure, so I showed Michael who was right there and he didn't know if that counted as a positive either. I ran into Kaitlin's room to wake her up and get another opinion. Why not? She knew what was going on anyway! She was pretty sure that it was a positive, but none of us really believed it.
I made a same day appointment to find out for sure if I was pregnant or not. In the meantime, we went to breakfast and tried not to freak out.
At the doctors office, I took another test and they confirmed it for us. I WAS PREGNANT! They said that a faint line is still a line and yes, I was pregnant. WHAT IN THE WORLD?! ME? PREGNANT?! AHHH!
The whole way back home I don't know how many times I said, "I'm PREGNANT? I'M pregnant? I'm PREGNANT?! I'm pregnant. Wait, I'm PREGNANT?! THIS IS AWESOME!"
You get the idea :-). I just couldn't believe it. Michael is more of a silent freak out type person. I think he was also trying to grasp the idea of being a daddy. A parent. Of having a baby. Heck, we are still trying to wrap our heads around it!

thats really so exciting! so happy for you!
=) So cute! It's going to be a wild ride! Enjoy it!
Aww :) so cute. That's awesome yall got a same-day appt! Did you go to your OB/GYN for a confirmation, or just a gen. practioner? I would think the GP would be easier to get an appt. sooner, just for a quick, "yes youre pregnant" answer. :)
Congratulations!!! :D
They made me wait till 8 weeks to confirm my pregnancy, and even then didn't have me take a test. They did blood work and then at my next appointment the midwife was like, "yeah, you feel like you're about 8 weeks along". It's such an exciting thing!
Sounds about right :)
When we decided to try for kid #2, I decided to skip out on the tests where you have to wonder whether or not you're seeing a second line...and got the digital one. I thought for sure I wasn't pregnant, since we hadn't tried long. Then BAM, the screen said "pregnant". And then I said a cuss word. Hahaha. It was shocking to SEE the word. Much more dramatic than the lines.
So flippin' exciting!!! My first pregnancy I could barely see a line ... with my second, I made sure to get the digital kind that spelled out the results clearly. LOL!! Congrats, girly!!
Haha. I think that's pretty much how it would go with our relationship too. Me freaking out, saying, "I'm PREGNANT???" over and over and Tom just quietly digesting it. Woohoo!
Haha! I think that's pretty much how it would go down in our relationship too. I'd be freaking out, saying, "I'm PREGNANT???" the whole ride home and Tom would be silently digesting it all. Woohoo!
Cute! The picture is too funny!
My husband freaked out silently at first too. I expected more of a reaction. He was super happy, but at first it was more like WTF??!!
