Date Nights and Sincerity

Michael and I decided to use Mondays as our day of the week to go on our dates. Last week we found a local Mexican restaurant that was cheap and delicious. Plus it is so close, which is convenient. This week we wanted to try out Chili's lunch special. It's only $6.00 for half a sandwich, soup, and fries. We both got the turkey sandwich and sweet corn soup. Yum! If you are looking for a good deal on lunch places, I recommend Chili's.

After lunch we had some time to spare before our movie so we went to a furniture store in the same parking lot. They had such great deals, we couldn't believe it! We could have gotten a whole living room set, plus the lamps, side tables, coffee table, and the rug for about the same price we got just our couches for. I hate missing out on deals!! Next time we have the extra money to spend, we will be going back there for more furniture.

Then we went to Barnes and Noble to get a book for me to read. I just finished reading Something Borrowed and then Something Blue by Emily Giffin. I wanted to get her next book called Baby Proof.

We then went to go see True Grit. We have been hearing how good it is so we were excited to see it. I thought it was a pretty good movie and Michael said it was good but that it was built up too much in his mind from people talking about it and so he was expecting something a little better. All in all, it was fun to see a movie. I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to movies. If I enjoyed it then I'm happy!

P.S- Thank you for all the support in my last post. When I got that anonymous comment, it really made me feel like a failure but it also made me angry that someone thinks that I need to talk about hair in my "nether regions" (haha, Wendy) and how religion impacts my sexual life in order to entertain you. Yes, I love the blogging community as a whole. I enjoy reading your blogs whether it be about family, celeb gossip, fashion, or whatever else is out there. But this is my blog and I will only write about things that I feel comfortable writing. If I happen to get more readers and comments, great! Who doesn't love that? But if not, I am okay with that too because I know that I am staying true to what I started this blog for in the first place. For me. Thanks!

Date night is such a good idea. We do the same thing (it's typically on Friday nights) and I think it's so important to get that good quality time in to just talk and catch up :)

Sounds like a fabulous date! And I hate missing out on deals too! I usually take so long to shop around and make a final decision, that I usually feel like I the best deal for something that I really want.

And OMG, I read your last post, but I don't think I commented. Don't feel like a failure... there are other ways to get people to read your blog than by talking about REALLY personal things! I thought the anonymous comment was a joke at first!

Love your blog girl! Keep it up! And do I smell a baby on the way? I might be totally off, but you keep writing things like "things are about to get a lot more interesting..." so I was just wondering... Hahaha!

That's so great that you two take the time to get together. Tim and I try to, also, but with our changing schedules it get's hard to have a set date! We love Chilis though!! :) YUM!

Haha, I was totally thinking the same thing as Sarah when you said "things are about to get a lot more interesting"! Well??? Also, sounds like a really fun date- I love lunch specials! And I'm the same about movies- easy to please, I'm not a hard critic.

My hubby thought True Grit was boring. I want to see it though.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Emily Giffin novels! I have all of her books! You should have told me you were reading them, I would have totally mailed them to you! :) All they do is sit on the shelf. I don't re-read books. I don't know why, I just can't.
And I'm def. going to have to try that chilis lunch meal.. I guess on the weekends, considering during the week Im in school. Hah! :)
