Liars, Cheaters, and Scumbags

I just wanted to write about something I am passionate about.
Lying, Cheating, Scumbags.
They ruin their families.

Kate Gosselin.
Eight kids at home, and her husband still manages to cheat.

Reese Witherspoon.
Her huband cheated on her too.

Shania Twain.
I've loved her since I was 10 years old.
Her husband was the subject of most of her songs.
After 14 years of marriage, they split too.
He cheated with her long-time friend and secretary.

Sandra Bullock.
She just moved out of her house because Jesse James, her husband, cheated on her while she was on the set of The Blind Side, which she just won Best Actress for.

And we all know about Tiger Woods now, right?
That wasn't just an affair.
He had so many flings that I'm amazed it didn't come out sooner.

Obviously it's not only the men who cheat. Leann Rhymes, Tori Spelling, Elizabeth Taylor...just to name a few.

It's also not just celebrities who are cheating.
A relative of mine had an affair with someone from her church.
It ruined her family and the family of the man she cheated with.
I was in high school when this happened.
Even I was devasted.
I loved this woman and I looked up to her before I knew.
I haven't spoken to her or seen her since then.

It's such a selfish act.

And not only is the cheater at fault.
If the person that they cheat with is aware that this person is cheating,
They are just as guilty, in my opinion.
I'm just tired of hearing stories like this.

I just saw Sandra Bullock giving her acceptance speech, looking lovingly to her husband and saying some very nice things to him. He was looking teary eyed and looking at her like he treasured her more than anything and anyone.
It was so sweet.

And then this story came out.

*Sigh*

I feel very lucky right now.

Well said. I couldn't agree more. The person who gets involved with a man or woman who is in a committed relationship is also responsible and wrong.

I feel so bad for Sandra Bullock. What's up with this Oscar curse?

My family was just recently struck by cheating. My dad ditched my whole family and married someone he had an affair with (not to mention I graduated hs with her) and refuses to speak to my brothers or I anymore.

It's just a ridiculous thing. If you want out of a relationship get out. Why burn a bunch of people in the process? Can't have your cake and eat it too!!

It just makes me sick. If you're unhappy...leave. Why resort to cheating on your spouse?

I feel passionately about this too! I HATE reading and hearing about these instances. It makes me feel so sad for the person (and family) that was cheated on and hateful to the person who cheated. I was just reading a book that was great and I was loving. Then the guy cheated on his wife... it ruined the whole book for me. I threw it down in disgust. I absolutely love Sandra Bullock, she's my favorite actress! I didn't know about that till I read this :( I don't understand how people could that!

I just saw that you wrote about this on Handbags and Handguns so I decided to come check it out... newest follower :) And is it me, or do these people usually cheat DOWN? I don't approve of cheating at all, its happened to me and its the worst feeling in the world, but come on. If you are going to do it, at least cheat UP.

I totally agree. First of all, I consider myself to be very lucky too. I don't think you cry during your wife's speech like that if you aren't in love. Why screw something wonderful up for a piece of ass? I just don't get it.

I know isn't this such a selfish thing to do?? Makes me sick, really. If it ever happened in my marriage it would be a deal-breaker..not sure I could be like Elin and go back after 14(?) mistresses come out of the woodwork.
On a happier note...what a cute blog you have here :) Such a wonderful love story.

Yes, I feel incredibly lucky to have my husband.

I still can't believe that Jesse James cheated on Sandra.

I cry every time I watch Sandra Bullock's acceptance speech and it is so sad that he was cheating on her for 11 months. I watched him on celebrity apprentice and thought he was such a nice guy! Jerk! Have you seen the oscar curse on people.com. A lot of couples break up really quickly after getting ocars.

Having had it happen to me (thank you ex-boyfriend and ex-best friend for a valuable life lesson)I have absolutely no sympathy for cheaters, and I feel FURIOUS when people say that people only cheat because their other half isn't giving them what they need.

It is the most heartbreaking, soul-destroying, confidence-crumbling experience. It's like the feeling you get when you think there's an extra step and your foot goes through air and there's that sickening feeling when your stomach drops... Only X 10000. I hope I never have to feel that again. Ever.

I also wish these celebrity girls would LEAVE their husbands and give a good example to girls out there going through the same thing...

Yes, I hate this stuff more than just about anything. So hurtful, selfish, and disgusting. Your husband seems very, very sweet though! What date were you two married?
