Pool and Potty Princess

It's already been another week since my last weekend recap?! Time is flying by! On Friday I had a Primary Presidency Lunch meeting and then the rest of the weekend was pretty much a whole lot of this....

Emily's been so snugly lately and we have just been soaking it up!

I know that unless you've had kids, this is probably TMI but whatever it's my blog and it's exciting news around here...Emily went pee on her little potty for the first time! I got her a very simple white Baby Bjorn so it wasn't to be confused with a toy. No noises or anything. So I put her on it a couple of times after dinner and the second night, she actually peed in it! I was so excited! I don't think she knows what that means or if she even noticed what she did but it's still pretty awesome! We aren't really "potty training" yet. Just getting her used to the idea of it!

Another fun thing that was new for us was we got a new little blow up pool and filled it up in our backyard for Emily to play in. I knew she would love it because she loves the water and I was right! Unlike her Mommy and Daddy, she couldn't care less that it was freezing hose water! Next time I will let it heat up in the sun some more before we get in.

After we played outside, Emily dressed herself up in my headbands and hair tie, crawled into our bed, covered herself with a blanket, and said "Night night". So cute!!

We love our little girl!! She is growing up so fast!

Yay! Go Emily! I think it's a great idea to get something that doesn't look like a toy and just get her used to the idea of it before you really start to train her.

The way this is going you may not even have to "potty train" her at all. She'll be all, 'dont worry mom, I got this.' haha

Yay about the potty!! I can't even think about potty training yet but I know it's just around the corner. I'll probably cry because it means my baby is growing up! :(

Chase is all about going in our bed and saying night night. He even fake sleeps now with hilarious snoring sounds. Good idea with the simple potty. We have the fisher price cheer for me and he thought it was a ride on toy for a long time. I turned the sound off yesterday because he would stop peeing once it started singing.
