Kristin's Farewell Weekend

I still haven't posted about two weekends ago but I want to blog about this past weekend today! After having a cold for several days, this weekend was enjoyed even more! It was another great weekend with family and friends! My sister is leaving on a mission next Monday (six weeks of training in the MTC in Provo, Utah and then a year and a half in Berlin, Germany) and so things have been pretty crazy for our family! My family and some family friends were all in town in order to see her before she leaves.

One of my best friends, Kaitlin, came down with her family from Sacramento and she stayed with me for a night. We got to hang out and go get a pizza and stuff. Loved it!

The next morning (Sunday) we drove out to go to church with everyone to hear Kristin give her farewell talk. It was amazing. She has such a sweet testimony of the gospel and I know she will be a great missionary!

After church, we all hung out and ate lunch at my parents house for the rest of the day. We took pictures, played games, talked...it was just really good to have my whole family around and see friends! It means a lot that Kristin has so much love and support.

I'm going to miss her but I know she will love Germany and teaching others about our beliefs. But before she leaves, I fully plan on hogging her time as much as I can :).
