Belly Bumps and Skylar Update

No, this is not my belly.

I also don't think that it's a real, unedited photo.

BUT. Sometimes, this is exactly what I feel like is happening to me.

Baby Girl has been doing a lot of "stretching". At night, when I'm trying to sleep, she decides to wake up and push mommy's belly out in all directions.

Last night was particularly crazy. I thought she was going to bust out of my skin. She was pushing so hard to the right of my belly button and also by my left hip. 

I can never tell what body part it is that's sticking out but it's usually large and round so I'm guessing it's the head most of the time. Or maybe the booty? Who knows?!

It's amazing to me how strong she is and how much my body can take.

Sometimes she rolls around so much it shakes my whole belly and I look around to make sure it's not an earthquake.

Oh! I also have some great news! Skylar (my niece who has been in the NICU since she was born on July 2nd) is finally off of her ventilator and breathing on her own! She has come so far and we are so grateful that our prayers are being heard. She is still in the hospital being monitored but things are definitely better off than they were last week. Thank you for your sweet words and prayers!
