Catching Up

Okay, I realize that the last two times I have posted a blog it has been nothing but "wah wah wah" so I really felt the need to update everyone on the MANY other things that have been happening. Mostly good stuff!

First, my birthday! I turned 22 and we got a bunch of family and friends together for Buffalo Wild Wings and then later cake and presents at Michael's parents house. It was really fun, and I am so lucky to be surrounded by so many people who love me! :-)
Then, I took a little road trip with my brother Steven up to Elk Grove/Sacramento to see family and friends for a weekend. The first day we got there, we went and saw my Aunts and Uncles, cousins, and my grandma and grandpa Ricks. Then we spent the next day in Elk Grove with friends. I donated blood with Kaitlin and then she and I went with her sister Whitney and our friend Alicia to downtown Sacramento. It was really cool to shop around but it was NOT a good idea to donate on a hot day with lots of walking.

Anyways, we did a bunch of fun things but then the next day I went up to Sacramento again and stayed with my brother Brian. It was good to spend time with him and I got to meet his dog, Kapu. He is half wolf, half husky and totally adorable and goofy. Drove home the next day (Sunday).

I believe it was that week that we sold the truck and then the day after that we bought a car! It's a 2005 Honda Civic and we LOVE it! It's really great on gas and it's so cute! It was sad to say goodbye to the truck.
In other big news- Jason and Jocelyn got engaged! It's about time! :-) We are so happy for them and can't wait for them to tie the knot in April! Michael got to go with Jason to get the ring and Tiffany, Jarom, and Aubrey were with them when he proposed up in Lake Arrowhead for the meteor shower.
Lot's of sickness has been going around. I got really sick with a cough and fever along with two other people in my office. Michael's dad had a cold, then Tiffany and Aubrey got SWINE FLU. They are okay, but hello! Aubrey is only 2 and got pneumonia from it and Tiffany is pregnant, due in September. It was really scary but nobody seemed to be too worried and they are almost all better now. Then Michael somehow injured his shoulder and got a bit of a cold. Oh and his mom got a cold too. Not sure what I had. Moving on...
Michael's academy was postponed until November 30 due to the economy going to poop.
Something else that happened is we threw Julie a baby shower! We are all so excited for her and she has such a cute little belly! Her baby boy is going to be so adorable!

Also: Michael and I have been on an Alias marathon lately. $13.00 a season at Target. Totally worth it. Hope everything is well with all of you!
