The weekend started off with me getting the recipe for this yummy spinach salad from my SIL, Tiffany. I had had it the weekend before at a family dinner and couldn't wait to make it myself. Here's what's in it...
Baby spinach, cranberries, almonds, sunflower seeds, parmesan cheese, and raspberry walnut salad dressing.
Then I had Jaime come over to see our new apartment and watch a chick flick with me since Michael was at work. She hadn't ever seen Crossroads...so, naturally we watched it.
I always forget how cute this movie is. It's the ultimate girls night movie! It really got us in the mood to go do Karaoke somewhere so we are planning on going and doing that as soon as we can!
On Saturday, I enjoyed laying around doing absolutely nothing! Then Michael and I went to Chipotle. We actually live by the same Chipotle that we first went to when we started hanging out / dating. That will have been three years ago next month! Crazy how things work out! Actually...he went to Chipotle, I went to Yogurtland next door, and we met up and ate our different favs. :-)
Then, Michael had to go to work. Saturday night was pretty boring...I just watched a couple movies and went to bed. Lame.
On Sunday we went to church and then got a phone call from Edith. (She's the one taking care of the dog for now.) She said she took her to another vet and that she won't need surgery after all!! Apparently it is very common for little dogs to have this problem but most of the time it doesn't even both them. Great news!! So...what did we do?? We went to see her, of course!!
I'm in love! We are naming her Jexibelle. Jexi for short!
We will be adopting her this week. She's still recovering from being spayed on Saturday. Poor thing was so drugged up and sleepy! But she was the sweetest little pup EVER!! She crawled over to me to sit on my lap. I can't wait to bring her home and love her!! I'm already dreading leaving her whenever I have to work or go somewhere without her. I already love her so much!!

Yay! She is so cute! And that's a great name! I'm glad it worked out. She's lucky to be going to a home where she will be loved and well taken care of. :)
